Cursed Child wins big at the WhatsOnStage Awards

After leading the way at this years awards with 11 nominations across 9 categories, it was announced on 19th February at a ceremony at the Prince of Wales Theatre, London that the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child team has won 8 of these awards. Nominations for the team included categories including Best Director - for John Tiffany - Best Play, Best Actor in a Play - for Jamie Parker - best Supporting Actor in a Play - Anthony Boyle and Paul Thornley - and Best Supporting Actress in a Play - Noma Dumezweni and Poppy Miller.

It is interesting to see the Cursed Child teams leading ladies facing each other off in the category of Best Supporting Actress in a Play and two of the leading men facing off for prize of Best Supporting Actor in a Play - both of these accolades deservedly going to Noma Dumezweni and Anthony Boyle respectively.
